What is meant by Jailbreaking the PS3? :
Now a days the PS3 is widely used by videogame lovers. But the PS3 is expensive when you consider buying many games and blu-ray movies. So thanks to hackers, the PS3 has been unlocked but there is still no hack or mod for PS3 with firmware above 3.55. So if you have 3.55 then you can still jailbreak your device but above that, well its a complicated process and it costs some money.
Jailbreaking enables the PS3 to run downloaded games from the internet(which require an external hard disk to run) ,make backup copies of original games that you have and store them in the PS3 hard disk. It also enables the PS3 to install
software and packages.
If you have PS3 with firmware 3.55 or below that then jailbreaking is very easy and free. But if you have a firmware above that then it will cost money.
With firmware 3.55(or below) you just need to download a custom firmware from the internet and install it with the help of a pen drive. It's that simple!!
