How to Jailbreak a PS3 with firmware above 3.55:

If you have a PS3 with official firmware above 3.55 then note this:

There is no custom firmware for versions above 3.55 till date. I have downloaded some of the cfw that are claimed to be genuine but believe me, they are not!!!(My PS3 is 4.11 and I have searched for many 4.11 cfw but they are fake).



Only way to jailbreak is to downgrade the official firmware of the PS3 to 3.55. This is with the help of a device called E3 Flasher, which has to be purchased from the Internet and installed into the PS3 by opening it up(There are chances of bricking up your PS3).

If you don't want to open up your PS3 then you will have to wait until a hacker comes up with a custom firmware above 3.55.

Steps to jailbreak PS3 with offcial firmware above 3.55:


1. Purchase the E3 Flasher from here:
