Whenever a new system update is released by Sony for the PS3, the update becomes mandatory if you want to access online play or you update your game. But updating the software might not let you install a custom firmware to jailbreak your PS3. In that case you will have to wait for the jailbreak for the next version which might take some time.
So to access the Playstation Store without updating you will need a software called 'LG5Tool'.
Download the Software here:
LG5Tool.rar
Just unzip the rar file and there will be a text file called 'Follow @MrJailbreak619 on twitter.txt'. Just open it and all the instructions to bypass the system update are given.
*Note: The PS3 and your PC should be connected to the same network.
